Raleigh Grifter Mk2 in Blue - Stored for 15 years!

I got this a couple of weeks ago off ebay, its in pretty good condition. Ive been after a nice Mk2 for a while now, to go with my scruffy Stars, and so my girlfriend had one to use! The last owner said it had been in his shed for 15 years.








The only issue is that theres a problem with the hub; i cant get any gears. The pedals just spin, almost like when the gears arent adjusted correctly, but the twist grip seems to work, and you can see the chain working as well. Hope that makes sense!
Any ideas people?
The plan is to give it a good clean and start using it, once ive fixed the back wheel anyway!
Ive been cleaning it today, the front wheels come up like new, along with the front brake and mudguard.

Looks a nice bike! Looking forward to seeing pics of it cleaned up, paint looks very nice...

Not sure about your back wheel but you may have to adjust the toggle chain which goes in the rear hub and is connected to the gear cable

The bike it self looks in really good shape but worst case for the back wheel it could need striping down

Looks pretty good condition my back wheel was doing this so i stripped the hub down regreased it and now its fine

if i have hub probloems best thing i find is to open it up check it for any problems, if the springs look okay and nothing is missing i'd just swap out the hub...saves time that way, but usually you'll find a problem in the hub

Thanks for the replies, il take some better pics next time im up my workshop.
When i got it the hub wouldnt freewheel, so i put some oil in the hub, now it spins freely but no gears! Il strip it down, see what i find. Ive got a spare wheel with what i think is a good hub if i need it.
