Hello again...
I picked this bike up from the local tip whilst dropping some bin bags off last week.
It's was plastered in that oil/soil crud that takes an age to clean off. After much toothbrush action though, I got it something like touchable.
The strip down.....

Captain America wouldn't have got the cotter pins out, so out come the whizzer.

There's quite alot of rust so I hit it with the wet n dry plus autosol. Most is now removed but there's still a way to go.

The twist grip seems to be in good nick but it's gonna need cables.

The wheels just need some elbow grease and they'll be shiny as new.
Mostly done the front one.

But the back one is still smegged up to the eyeballs.

Everthing else thats in good working order had been de-rusted and polished, though i'm gonna need to source new crank arms etc....

Thats pretty much it for now.
I'll report on the seat restoration and respray as I get round to it

I took one look at it and thought 'kin'ell! It's a grifter' and got back in the car, drove about 5 foot and decided to go back for it.
