Did a little bit to it over weekend... first did the stand area, I rubbed the area down and with a brush ,primed it, did a coat of gold. Then I mixed some of the red paint with a bit of laquer and applied it. The colour was a little too dark, but it did what I wanted about as good as I could expect.  Oh and of course the front mudguard had two tabs... what a plonker!!!  I asked for Tiger seal in my motor factors and got this, different brand, hope it's ok. I stripped it down,polished it,put new bearings in crank, put the forks back in  |

Thanks for kind comments....
I think you'll notice the difference in colour with a better pic, one day if I'm feeling enthusiastic I might try and get a closer match. It was actualy sunny yesterday and after a polish the original red really comes alive , I find that colour magical. The fact that the stand housing doesn't completely match on this bike don't matter too much.

Well this weekend I put her back together, the only rear wheel I've got is an absolute dog, but the gears run very nicely. This will have to be a work in progress ,I'll get a better rear wheel at some stage and some other bits, but it's nice to get it together and out for a spin. I will get some decent pics up soon....  The very rusty rear wheel which I'm not going to bother to clean up .... well I washed it!  |

as a temparary measure use mecano size nuts, bolts, washers, just until you can get some pop rivets and a gun  |

I used to have a pop rivet gun, but when I moved I threw it out, I couldn't think of a reason I'd need it !
I'll get it sorted next week....
