Hi Guys, I have posted in the Newbies section, Thank You everybody for your comments to date. I keep getting told to post some pics - so here are some of my Grifter in the state she arrived!

I will keep posting pics as the restoration goes on, I am a virgin as far as this sort of thing goes so if you see I am doing something wrong - please tell me I do not get offended easily!!.

Oh and if there is anybody near Rawtenstall in Lancashire that can take stands off please come and do mine!! I cannot shift it for love nor money.

Nice project mate, you need a special tool to remove the stand

£60 mate, I initially intended to just tidy it up, but then came across the forum and decided to go down the restoration route.

Is it a lot quicker with that posh tool ?
I still cant work out how it hooks up !
