The Legend David Soul signs my Grifter decal at the NEC

Well not quite a Grifter but a Raleigh Grifter Mk2 Stars n Stripes Decal.

Colin had a fantastic plan to have a NOS Mk2 decal signed by the great David Soul.
Having located the stand with the ford Torino we arrived just as he was making an appearance.
He was doing meets and signings but looked like we had missed the chance as he said he was tired. to be honest he looked fooked.

Then up popped Jack with decal in hand and the deed was done. Happy days.

by the legend david soul, this must make my stars and stripes unique ;D i was going to get him to sign the inlay card of my starsky and hutch boxset but thought its a shame to have an autograph hidden away in a draw so had the idea of something that was on show, i would love a grifter signed but there was no way of getting a grifter into the NEC and then there was the chance that it wouldnt even get signed so the best thing to do was to take my original factory nos stars and stripes top tube decal, easier than the full bike, and the rest is history, ive got the signiture ive always wanted on my grifter, i nearly took the Mk1 decal but thought against it as there isnt a lot of room on a Mk1 decal for an autograph so went with the american themed stars and stripes decal which is more in keeping with an american actor, im a massive fan of the original starsky and hutch so this now has pride of place in my collection, i just need starsky to sign my Silver now ;D

Nice one mike.....but no, its all mine, the queue for autographs was a mile long and would have taken hours, but a child that wanted an autograph was allowed to jump the queue due to health and safety, it only took a couple of minutes for jack to get brought forward......result
