Yay !!! picked up the paintwork this week, it really looks good in its satin black and Pageant blue finish.  Today i started to finally build it up, there's still plenty of finishing work and adjusting needed which will be sorted over the next few days but here it is on its way to looking like a Grifter. it probably hasn't looked like this for a few years.  |

Today cracked on with finishing the Grifter, it still needs brakes, gears adjusting and some little tweaks BUT the bulk is done and i'm well chuffed with how it's turned out. What a result from the wreck i dragged home last May. Now i'm looking forward to riding it around the area and further afield too.  |

My mate John , who's a real cycle tweaker, came round and between the two of us we went through it and now it's fully finished.
Getting the brakes to errrr, brake was a mission. Doing these took me back to my youth when i dismayed at the thought of trying to get side pulls to work right, they are better now and both sides work.
Now i want to get out and give a good run out.

Already had that today, getting it fettled meant having to run it around the area near my house. on one 'test run' a guy came over with the 'woah, a Grifter. That's mint'
Pub run sounds cool though.
