The above photo was taken before yesterdays 'fettling session' Chain, Brakes, etc The brakes were swapped so the rear is on the right, then the cable was trimmed down as it WAS too long. The seat is still wrapped up as i needed to turn the bike upside down (still will do tonight to fit the final part, the stand) and i don't want to mark the seat even though it's being worked on carpet. OCD !!!!!!

It's a genuine Raleigh seat, part of the 'Royal Saddle Range' and is called a Cross, and very comfy it is too Stand is fitted, it was a fiddle but all's well and NOTHING got damaged...........now, it's a ride-out when weather / time allows.

I've seen those seats before, ok for now until you find the correct one. Really nice seats are difficult to find these days.

I really don't want to come across as all nerdy (you know I'm far from nerdy) The later Mk2's are more rounded on the inside where the earlier ones form a triangle shape. The bolts are also slightly different.

Ah well. It'll look better than the quick release clamp that is on at present. Regardless of which model it came from.

I bought from Carling a black bar pad as the foam was missing from mine. It didn't really bother me but as this was new i decided it would look nice so today i fitted it. Pipe lagging was used for the foam I then sprayed the ends satin black as the original foam should be black Fitted using carpet tape so as not to slide along the bars All done looking very smart
