That's a cracking colour, what's the latest on this mate? Have you managed to get a replacement chain protector? You rode it much?

Yeah, I've noticed they're pretty expensive for what they are, but I need an immaculate one really or it'll stick out like a sore thumb if its rough looking.

Someone should remake them and sell them at an affordable price!

Watch this space mate.......my mate who owns his own Graphics company (and who I do some work for) has just installed a computer programmed router which may be able to create one!! I need to sweet talk him into producing one for me (if he can) if I supply the drawing (that's the easy part for me on the computer) I just need a perfect front on view photo and sizes to create the template.....if anyone can supply me with that??

I think you would have to use an original one as a mould in order to copy them. There 190 mm round with 15 mm plastic nuts.

Once I speak to my mate and if I know I can get something as close as possible to the original guard I might ask if someone can post me one (even if it's a rough one), then I can scan it in at work, redraw it on the computer and do a 'one off' to see if it's anything like an original. The only problem I can see is that I won't be able to get the contours the same, i.e. it'll look like a guard but the profile will be flat as opposed to 'stepped' like an original guard, trail & error though I guess.
